The airline’s Spirit flight to Mexico is being canceled for overwhelming demand.
The Spirit flight was supposed to arrive on Sunday.
The airline said on Twitter it will begin flight service on Monday morning.
Spirit Flight, an award-winning Southwest Airlines, said it will resume flights to the United States on Monday.
A Southwest spokesman told The Associated Press on Wednesday that it would be working with Spirit to figure out the best course of action.
Spirit’s flights to North America are normally scheduled to begin in March, but this is the first time it’s had to cancel a scheduled flight because of high demand.
